Before Crucial adds some kind of "My Little Pony Meme" are there any racing socks for Sim Racing? I've seen Sim boots which look great however they are available in the USA only.

Unfortunately something like that wont work. Because of the way pedals are orientated the heel area needs to be padded for comfort during longish sessions. Maybe socks were the wrong word to use.

    Racing socks? Bloody racing socks?

Just buy a cheap pair of trainers or slippers.

Don't forget your fire proofs too in case you crash.

Oh I see. How about some cheap karting boots? Mine were about £15 I think when I used to race (many a year ago) and were like wearing slippers, so comfortable.

Don't worry manju, I know what you mean, I'll find some bootie suggestions for ya :D

When I had my clubsport pedals with my fanatec wheel, the brake pedal was a load cell one which meant it was very heavy (like a real car) compared to cheaper pedal sets, so just using socks wasn't any good.

Bought a pair of these trainers, they have nice thinnish soles but obviously they're still trainers so won't look too nerdy :D

Puma Speedcats are what you want

Another vote for karting/racing boots/shoes, grippy thin soles and inexpensive... perfect.

Just the racing suit/helmet, rip off visors, nomex balaclava, driving gloves, 5 point harness and HANS device to follow... ;)

Right, I've done about an hours worth of testing with my new "sim boots".

They are a definite improvement over the slippers I used to use.

Your feet can get a bit, "moist" in slippers but with my new "sim boots", my feet stay cool and ventilated.

The sole is much thinner than slippers so your feet get a good feel of the pedals but unlike socks, it doesn't hurt when you press a load cell brake.

And also, I look cool in them . I might leave them on when I go to the pub tonight.

I used to love the drive to Demon Tweeks, the roads were windy and smooth.

Obviously I never dreamt of going over the speed limit.

Nice showroom but vastly overpriced and apart from basic stuff they weren't that technical. Used to enjoy the burger van outside though.

I miss having high powered cars instead of the rep mobile I have now :(

I've got Clubsport pedals and play in normal socks. Even after longer sessions, my feet feel fine?

I've tried wearing trainers / slippers but I lose some feel in the pedals, regardless of how thin they are.
