SIM HT300+ owners... What are your settings ?!

    Could SIM HT300+ owners tell me what their settings are for sharpness/contrast/brightness etc please ?! Want to do a bit of fiddling.... !

    I don't think it's unpopular. There are quite a few of us here with the HT300, but as the settings are probably different for the later + model, it wouldn't help much just to copy the settings, so I for one did not reply. Settings will also vary depending on the input used i.e. Interlaced or Progressive. The best way to set it up is to get a set-up disk such as Avia, or failing that you could use the THX optimiser which is on quite a few THX certified DVDs. This is not as comprehensive as Avia, but should help with Brightness and Contrast :).

    If you just want to do a bit of fiddling then do that and see what you like. You settings will depend on everything from screen material to lighting control within your room, and even the source material.
    But as you asked my HT300+ with v2.10 software in a totally dark room , projected onto a Stewart greyhawk 96" screen are Brightness 72 Contrast 60 Sharpness 2, and medium colour temp
