I just bought a new pair of Silver S10 Floor standing Speakers I like the bass from them but the higher frequency is a bit dead. I can turn the treble up on the amp, which can help a lot but can also make them sound fake. I even had a friend listen to them and when I used pure bypass on the amp he thought they sounded like they were in another room.

I have run them in for a week now and they still sound the same? Is there any reason why this would be?

I am using a Denon AVC S11SR amp and good speaker cable.
