I'm looking to upgrade my black DB930 to something in silver to match the rest of my newer kit which is/and will be in silver. Gives me a good excuse to upgrade to 6.1/7.1 and DPLII too! So any recommendations for Amps/Receivers in the £400-£600 range?

Well with that budget ... follow the word Sony with STRDB1080 ... and you'll get one of the best AV Amps in the price bracket.

Not sure what else is avaliable in Silver ... the Yamaha AX-V630 is black or a titanium colour, the Denon 1803 and Marantz SR5300 are both black or gold. Pioneer 811 or the Onkyo are the only other silver ones I can think of.

I'll place my vote for the Sony 1080 as well. If you do a search of the forum you'll find reviews and comments which are generally favourable (apart from Grundy's link to a critical article).

The Yamaha 630 comes in dark silver (Titanium) as do the NAD recievers (saw one in the flesh yesterday - very impressed). The Marantz, whilst classed as gold are actually a sort of silver/gold colour.
