There are 2 covered in rectangular slots at the top of the T.V measuring just over 4" depth by 0.75" width.

    What are these for?

    Hi,
I have a Philips 32PW6517, I think the slots you mention are covering screws that hold the back on the TV. This is just a guess, as I haven’t removed the covers to find out for sure.

Have you seen my thread about the flashing screen on the 6517?

If you own a 6517 I would be grateful if you could take a look at the thread & let me know if your TV suffers the same characteristics.

    Cheers, Tb
