There's an old Irish radio quiz called the Just a Minute Quiz, hosted by a guy called Larry Gogan. It's a trivia/general knowledge quiz, answer as many questions as you can in a minute.

A famous one is when Larry asked the contestant to complete this phrase: "As happy as..."

The contestant was struggling, so Larry said "think of me when you're answering", to which the contestant replied "a pig in ****".

I saw a bit of Perfection once when the contestant was asked if it was true or false that Buzz Lightyear was a member of the Apollo 11 crew. She said it was true! Needless to say she got it wrong. One of the other contestants said it was false because he was actually in one of the other Apollo crews.

Some times thinking out of the box works one of the questions yesterday was something that has pips.
Being a 60s and 70s soul fan and seeing her in concert said Gladys Knight.
I think there was 5 answers only 2 were guess by the team taking it, both answers were fruit . It was thrown over to the other side which they came out with in this order the following sugetions, Telephone, Talking Clock, Gladys Knight. John Thompson chose Telephone which was wrong. then in reveled order they were revelled.
5 pomegranate, 4 talking clock and yes at 3 Gladys Knight.

I remember the turkey guy on Family Fortunes ...

Bob Johnson answers "turkey" to three different questions.

The story - as given by his family in the documentary Our Survey Said - goes that he overheard 'chicken' as the answer to the third question, and he got it into his head that if 'chicken' had worked, then surely 'turkey' must be one of the answers as well! Give him his due, though: "turkey" and "chicken" actually were two good answers to the same question - the only problem was that he failed to spot which question it was, or more to the point, wasn't. A: J T Kirk.

Well the chasers get stuff wrong now and then but liked tonight reason of the Beast for getting the question right.
Q: who in 1962 became the first British to top the US Charts: The Beatles : The Tornados : The Shadows
The Beast got it right with The Tornados. And said: something was telling me it was Jet Harris and the Tornados but I don't know what was the song.

Jet Harris was with the Shadows and do we class instrumentals as songs at it was the tune Telstar which was a communication satellite? Although at a later date lyrics were put to it. Also Jet Harris went off with drummer Tony Meehan and they had other instrumental hit.
