Just had my first listen to Sikth....

    Wow!!!

I have been umming and arrring about getting the album for ages, then I saw pitchshifter on friday night, and Mikee from sikth came on for 1 song and made me think about them again. So I just bit the bullet and downloaded the album off itunes. Its a bit late to be listening to it with my baby neice in the house asleep, but still sounded awesome at a low volume, cant wait for the train journey to work in the morning to listen to the rest of the album.

Has anyone seen them live? I think they are playing in the next 2 weeks somewhere in london, would anyone recomend the live experience or are theya CD band?

I saw them supporting Machine Head a couple of years ago in Portsmouth (just looked, it was Nov 2003). I thought they were excellent & bought the CD the following day.

Definitely worth seeing live IMO. May have to play the Sikth cd now as I haven't played it for ages. Seem to remember there being a bit of 'filler' on the CD though.
Have they done anything else recently? The CD I have is about 3 years old now.

Saw them live at Newcstle University bar, incredible night as the venue is the smallest I have ever been to. The band were walking around in the audience chatting and signing CDs for about half an hour before they went on stage (I say stage but it was really just an elevated corner). They ripped the place up.

I bought the CD just before I went to see them, quite some time ago now.
