just watched my r2 copy of signs, noticed in quite a few of the dark scenes there was a flashing type effect, the brightness in the pic went up and down quite a few times, worst part was in the swing bat scenes.anyone else who has the r2 care to check your copy out.

Checked it out and didn't see this problem...I tried the "swing away" scene and a few other dark scenes in the movie.

This was on an Arcam DV88+ and Panasonic 4-series plasma.

If you want, give me time counter readings and I'll have another look?

Mine is R2 also, those were the scenes I tried, but no problems as you described. ???

Can't think of anything else but to try and exchange your copy - or rent another one out of Blockbuster.

I noticed this a while back on a Sony DVD player plugged into a Panasonic DK1 28" widescreen TV set before buying my PJ.

Definately there then, especially in the bottom left corner.

    Cap :)

No, not mine anyway. Not macro to me. More like a pulsing in the bottom corner of the screen.

Did not bother me, but confirming it was there on my set up.

    Cap :)
