All too often recently, I tune into a SKy Movie, and discover a bloke in the corner signing. Is this a new and continuing trend? I read that subtitles will be made easier with a software update this month, or is this to cater for deaf people who can't read? No disrespect to dyslexic deaf people, but is there a huge demand for this? I for one cannot watch a signed movie, it's far too distracting.

I have noticed it on a couple of off-peak movies too - pity there isnt a way to turn them off. The latest parts of the Disability Discrimination Act fairly recently came into force and I am sure that will have something to do with it.
