Virgin has 100 copies of the Michell & Webb movie Magicians signed by both actors for £12.99
The Two Faces Of Mitchell And Webb: Live - £2.96 @ uWish
many thanks mate, I loved this movie.
IMO just as good as Peep Show.
made me a very happy young man
My mate's came through this morning ... unsigned! ... though ... mine didn't come through ...
He's sent a snotty e-mail off ... we are hoping and assuming that ... he wasn't in the first 100 to order ... so they've sent an unsigned copy ... and the reason mine hasn't come through is because they're waiting on Rob and David signing ...
Anyone else had theirs come through ... signed or unsigned?
I was overly eager with my last post ... postie has just been ... mine has come through unsigned too
Got mine this-morning. It's Unsigned.
Hey AV Junkie
Have you sent off a snotty complaint yet? Do you intend to send it back or not?
I'm not sure whether I'm sending it back yet and for that reason ... I've not unwrapped the cellophane ...
Yet it's sat in front of me ... taunting me ... maybe the signature is on the actual disk which is inside the box?
Has anyone opened theirs?
mine hasn't even been posted.
I'm going to send off a snotty email to complain and unless they inform me that it is signed inside (unlikely I would have thought) then I will definitely be returning it for a full refund.
This is the sort of DVD I normally wait 3 months before buying for a fiver in the sales. I rarely buy DVDs when they come out because of the unwritten, (pretty much standard), 3 month price drop rule.
in the "my orders" section of "my account" on the virgin megastores site ... it still says my order is backdated ... and when I log into my onilne bank account ... there's no money been taken or earmarked as yet ..
That is exactly what my mate said ... it will be a fiver in a couple of months ... he has it downloaded from a torrent site so was not in any rush to have it on launch ... the reason we bought was because it was signed ...
Could the first person who writes off to complain copy paste their complaint into a post on the forum to save everyone else the hassle of drafting something then we can all just make minor changes and fire it off? I'm a much better disgruntled customer when ranting down the phone rather than putting it in words in an e-mail though I'll have a bash if nobody else wants to?
God, I feel sorry I posted this bargain now.
Glad I didn't order it. (I had my suspicions they would do that as they were bound to sell more than 100)
Not your fault mate ... you get a big thumbs up for pointing us in the direction of the deal
The thing was ... I ordered my copy ... then a day or two later I was on the phone to a friend and told him about it ... so he went to virgin's site and searched "magicians" which only brought up the film unsigned for £18 ... so I told him to come to AVF ... find this thread ... click the link ... and buy it through that for £12 ...
So as far as I'm concerned ... what doesn't make sense ... is how they didn't email everyone to say "we've run out of signed copies - we can still send you an unsigned copy for the £12 or you can cancel" ... as it is - they've just sent us all a copy in the hope we won't be arsed?
I'm waiting to send my scathing email off till I've seen whether they debit me £12 or £18 ... and also ... to see what happens to the "back ordered" status of my order ... because if for whatever reason they feel like sending me a signed and unsigned copy ... then fair play to them unlikely as it is ...
It's actually still on the website.
I think Virgin needs to get their act together like HMV as far as the online side is concerned.
anyone heard back then? recieved an unsigned copy yesterday.
ok, I finally got through on the Phone and you need to send the DVD back with a letter asking for the Signed version apparently...
Virgin Megastores Online
should have kept em, just got a reply...
I got the signed cover (on it's own) through the post today.
It would have prevented the confusion if they had said it was going to be sent seperately in the 1st place.
yeah also recieved a signed cover today ... the worst thing is I've already sent both the DVDs back.
Wait until its in the sales, buy a new one cheap, replace the cover with your signed one and hey presto you have a cheap signed edition
that's my plan but it's down to Virgin Customer Service, whether they refund, return or just not bother getting back in touch.
glad this debacle seems to have sorted itself out while I've been away ... mine hasn't come through yet but I'll give it a couple of days before getting on an even higher horse than before!
just to let everyone know
Magicians (unsigned copy) now only £8.00 at tesco
Separate names with a comma.
