Signal failure

Active Member
Been having some problems with Sky for the last 6 month. The picture keeps dropping out for a about 30 seconds maybe a minute at times or just juddering. Then we lost a few channels on the box downstairs. Anyway the other day we had Sky come out and fit a new sky box for us. The guy put in a new Amstad HD box, a new dish and new cableing all around the house. Yet two days later where getting the same thing. Messages on screen telling us no satetlite signal is being received and the juddering again. This is on both the HD box and the Sky+ Multiroom box we have upstairs.

Had a quick look at the signal and at times its going down to about a tenth of the bar. Really am at a loss as to what it could be. We have Sky engineers coming out tomoz again but Id like to know what im dealing with here before they come so I can see what they do to try and fix the problem or at least make a suggestion.

So anyone, any help please. Cheers.

Trees are a common cause of this, oddly enough it often happens in the first half of the year with the new growth.
Check the line of sight for the dish.

Im wondering if putting the dish on the front of the house would make any differnece. Next door have theres there so it must be doable.
