The sign says Defence Division so sign of the times would refer to the heightened security status in the UK due to the threat of terrorism and the general state of war.
I was more interested in taking a decent picture (which I'm not convinced I achieved) than the infinitely simpler task of coming up with some obvious pictorial representation of a song title. e.g. a picture of a candle in the wind for the song candle in the wind or the DVD box of Fatal Attraction for the song thriller
Sorry if that last bit comes across as a bit snotty but the majority of comments and effort this month seems to be on the titles and not the actual photgraphs. Still everyone seems to have had fun so perhaps I need to have a word with myself!
Thanks for that and I kind of suspected your logic regarding the wording but thought I'd ask

Well I "think" that one should try to do both (regarding photo "illustrating" song title - my words...)- some manage to succeed better than others - and that's not a criticism of anyone - merely an observation
And yes - there's got to be an element of fun involved - not necessarily in the shot taken but definitely in the taking of it or why bother ?
