AFAIK, Siemens have no plans to launch the unit in the UK. Given that, it's unlikely to support the UK's MHEG-based digital text services.

I'm fed up with the lack of an ethernet enabled twin channel PVR in the UK, so, as I have already got a Toppy PVR (with MHEG), I am going to take a punt on one of these and see if it at least gives me the ability to record two more tuners' wiorth onto the HDD of my media server PC.

The DVB standard is the same, though there are some oddities with the tuning in of channels, and I need to play aroubd with the EPG to see if that works but, If it doesn't work I'll bang it back out on eBay and let a German buy it from me.

You might find this M740 users site useful, I look forward to hearing if it works. Been thinking of risking it myself but its low on the pile of things to get working ;)

You may also want to look at the Kiss 558

    Kiss 558

It has PVR and DVD playback functions as well as Network enabled to stream from your PC.

    The only downsides are:
    1) Only 1 tuner
    2) EPG is doewnloaded through the internet, therefore it needs a connection to a PC or broadband router
    3) DVD does not record

Only 1 analogue tuner... not really comparable!
