So it appears that Sideshow have nabbed a He-Man license which I'm expecting means 1/4 Scale PF's will be incoming.

They have said that SDCC will see prototypes of both He-Man & Skeletor pieces which have me super excited.

I've been a big fan of what PCS have previously done but not had the money to start getting into them plus I didn't know about them until after He-man had sold out & as good as the rest have been you can't buy the line without the man himself can you??

I might well be in for these if they are good as He-Man was a staple of my childhood so a nice collection of PF's would be awesome

Just hope they don't keep hiking the prices as seems to be the current situation with SS

Anyone else looking forward to these?

I don't know what sorta kid I was toy wise, had plenty of Star Wars toys, cars, video games and a football but can't remember being that interested in much else...... not including tv and movies of course

I vaguely remember the likes of Transformers, TMNT, He-Man etc being around but never watched or had any toys from any of them :(

I had loads of the original toys, man at arms, faker, evil Lynn, castle greyskull, skeletor, beast man.

You ever have that line that showed 3 stages of battle damage? All on the chest plate? :D

I am Adam, prince of Eternia and defender of the secrets of Castle Greyskull.
This is Cringer, my fearless friend.

Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said, “By the power of Greyskull! I have the power!“

Cringer became the mighty Battle Cat, and I became He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe!

Only three others share this secret — our friends, the Sorceress, Man-at-Arms, and Orko. Together we defend Castle Greyskull from the evil forces of Skeletor.

My childhood was entirely made up of toys & I can actually remember most of what I had & the details surrounding getting them.
Ask me what I did last week though & you have no chance lol

I had so much stuff lol

Between me & a friend I think we must have had almost everything, he had way more than me but I remember a ton of stuff.

I remember so much of it I only really lost interest when they started bringing in Hordak & She-Ra

Oh yes I had the battle damage He-Man & Skeletor, they were awesome :)

I think you can pretty much tell what my bestest kiddie toy was ;) but I had pretty significant collections of...

    He-Man
    Action Force (GI Joe)
    Turtles
    M A S K
    Real Ghostbusters
    Visionaries
    Thundercats
    Centurions
    Ring Raiders
    Starcom

There were tons of other bits & bobs too but outside of Transformers they were my biggest loves in the Toy worlds

Bloody hell, blast from the past - I had some visionaries and centurions!!

I loved He-Man so much though, the cartoon and the figures. That and mask were probably my faves.

There was also another line of Hologram toys back in the day called Super Naturals which were all ghosts & Skeletons & the like...

I had a few of them too but they never really took off & I didn't play with them much.

Centuriosn were easily some of my fave toys ever....I was actually looking to re-buy some recently but the prices on Ebay for good condition boxed figures & weapon Systems are obscene :(

I did manage to *ahem* Acquire the entire cartoon run the other week though ;)

    He-Man was awesome
Did you ever watch the recent (Mid 200's) cartoon?
It was brilliant & went to the effort of doing real proper origin stories for He-man & Skeletor which are well worth seeing even if you never watch the rest.

I am actually now rooting round on Ebay looking for Master of the Universe classics figures ;)

    I NEED to STOP!!!!! lol

no never watched it. Cant get the He-man heyheyhey song out of my head now lol

Visionaries and centurions toys where more popular than the Tv Shows :/ think that's why they where canned so early shame. I was just a sucker for anything with a removable helmet.

Also if you have ever seen the film the boy that could fly. i always loved the part with all the Gi Joes

I went looking for all my old toys a while ago and forgot my sister had give them all away to her blokes sprog... was not happy. My Daughter would of had a field day with them. She was well into watching Ghost busters and Heman on the youtube.

Bloody hell Neil, I'm not sure we weren't separated at birth as twins! All of your toy interests are identical to mine. Loved the centurions....trying to find the DC 3 issue mini for a decent price on eBay. Mask was another good'un, had a fair few of them. TF and MOTU were the bees knees in my house.

I also had the caleco Rambo figures...they blew my young mind with the "likeness" of Sly.

If I remember correctly I had one of those but he had some sort of backpack or harness.

There is one toy I also had which was awesome but I can't name it.

He was an action figure but he was soft and stretchy but you could put armour on him to make him firm. Like a dark knight

    This thread is too much!!

I had Rambo and the Skyfire helicopter: working rotors, working winch, working searchlight - that was one if my favourite toys ever!!

Anybody do Sectaurs? The dragonflyer was just a cracking item.

Me too & a good portion of the weapon systems too.
I do remember coveting a couple that seemed like rocking horse poo...Jake Rockwells Wild Weasel & Ace McClouds Orbital Intercerptor
I had all of Max Rays ones though & he was easily my fave of the bunch

Lol perhaps we should rename it the 80's Toys Thread :)

I remember sectaurs but didn't have many as they creeped my mum out being giant insect hand puppets lol
They were awesome though & really really big figures too which was nice as they were quite detailed.

I remember seeing a clip of this.
Something to do with Skeletor being human and having his face burnt/melted off?
Where's the best place to watch it?

I had loads of He-Man stuff as well.
Lost some of it, some got broke and a lot of it still resides in a toy box.
    Most accessories are missing, though.
I do remember one character in particular that I really liked, but both times I had the figure as a kid it somehow ended up broken :(
If I remember correctly the characters name was something like Extendor.

The big weakness of the original action figures was the "rubber band" used to hold the legs in place while allowing all kinds of movement.

You're not the only one mate. ;) I'm actually Neil's honourary brother from another mother. :D

That makes us triplets then, no?

I fondly recall toys from the following lines:-

He-Man (I had He-Man (naturally ;)), Battle Cat, Castle Grey Skull, Man at Arms). My friends had all the baddies! :D

Ghostbusters (I had Winston, Egon and slimer)

Thundercats (I had Panthro, Tigra, Wilykit, The Thundertank and Jackal Man)

Centurions (I had Jake and two of his three armours)

I had a power of MASK toys, including Boulder Hill, Transformers, Visionaires and TMNT toys too.

Oh yes, I also had some Bionic 6 toys (who remembers them? :D).

I think it's something like that...been a long time since I saw it.
If you have access to a Region 1 DVD player then the best play is Amazon.com
Pretty sure it's around $12 to buy the entire series

Nice, I wish I still had some of mine :(
My favourites pieces were definitely the 2 castles...I had Greyskull & my bro has Snake Mountain but figure wise I was always really partial to Men-E-Faces & Stratos.

I have been looking at the prices on Ebay for the MOTU Classics line & I think I'm too late to the party now as some are ridiculous but I REALLY want a He-Man & Skeletor now lol

Ah the good old Rubber band issue, they deteriorated so easily, was the bane of my life with my Action Force figures too :(

Ah the more the merrier guys ;)

I had more than I care to mention for more or less all my toy lines but Bionic Six was one I never had the toys for but I did love the Cartoon

"Bionic, Bionic Six Woo Hoo Hoo, we are family, I fight for them, they fight for me
Bionic Bionic Six Woo Hoo Hoo"

    :laugh::laugh::laugh::D:D:D

Oh I could recount my childhood all day, absolutely the greatest time to grow up without a shadow of a doubt, I really feel for kids these days, they literally have nothing like the amount of cool stuff we did.
Sure there's some interesting bits still but damn if the 80's weren't the pinnacle for toys

I had a couple of the figures and the transforming van! :D

He, he, that's the one!

I whole heartedly agree Neil. Us kids of the eighties had it best without question. ;) Oh to do it all over again.

    Very nice.
I used to love the Cartoon, might have to hunt it down again :)

Definitely, especially knowing what I know now lol

    Only half an hour??
    You FAIL!!!! ;) lol
Once I start watching them I find it hard to stop...it's such a shame we never got the planned movie that was supposed to finish it all off.
Still find it strange that J Michael Straczynski worked on Jayce (Not to mention He-man, She-Ra & Real Ghostbusters) back in the day

I remember the pot of slime I got with the he-man set which had a claw which gripped the figure and a jaw which tipped down to release the slime. ( can't remember what it was called). Pity the slime would capture clothes fabric and all manner of stuff in it!

I remember that too...pretty sure it came out during the Hordak & the Horde run of figures but I might be wrong.

It's funny but over the years loads of toy lines have used similar things with Goo

Turtles & GI Joe (although not a gunge machine like Turtles or HE-Man) were another couple

    Neil

EDIT - I was right it was the Horde stuff & was called the Slime Pit

When I got the fire station it came with a pot of slim, but I wasn't allowed it.
I think it got binned right away :(
