I have a Denon 3802 and Kef speakers 35.2, 95c and 85s. The 85s are mounted above door height, forward of the rear wall where the listening position is.Would a change to bipolars be a good improvement, if so would eltax ht2 bipolars be a good choice? I would store the 85s for a room refit to use for surround back (wife permitting).
Lastly, although it mentions dts 6.1 it doesn't mention DDEX will it work?
    Thanks, Ged.

I have Eltax HT2's surpless to requirement if you are interested in an exchange (mine + cash). Reason BiPole not suitable now that I have changed the room around.

I expect to be saving them for later, I wondered what to use for the sides should something be recomended as an improvement on the 85s as sidewall speakers.
Are the new Q1's tonaly "much" different?

No prob on the q8's. What I would probable do in your place.

Q1's Depends how much space you have. I can't make a comparison but they are very good. I use q1s with a q9 as my front soundstage. Very detailed and warm sound with plenty depth.

I would have thought that there must be quite a difference between the Q8 and Q1.

I am actually doing a test with some q8s this friday evening so will let you know

Are you comparing them to use as sides or rears?
