Hello,
I am 95% the way through purchasing my new flat and in preperation have already bought all my equipment for the lounge. I have bought pair of Kef R500's, 200c, pair of 800DS and a pair of R100's.
The original plan was to have the 800DS at the sides and the R100's mounted on a DIY pelmet with the projector. However, I have been back to the flat today for the first time in a month or so and position of the balcony and lounge doors were more 'off' than I thought meaning that the side speakers would actually probably be a touch behind the seating position unless I sit about 8-10 feet away from the 104" screen.
As I have a set of R100's I figured they would work better if behind the position and then possibly use the 800DS as the rears but would this essentially make the benefits of them a bit useless?
The room is about 15 feet wide by about 20 feet deep. I may be able to exchange the 800DS for another set of R100's if i'm quick but have had them for over a week now.
Any help or ideas appreciated.
