I was in Alders earlier today (Coventry), daydreaming about plasma screens.
Because Alders is closing down it's a little chaotic to say the least, anyways whilst I was there they sold 1 26" viera for £200! and then some body bought the last 3 42" plasmas the store had (42" Viera, including stand & speaker, Hitachi & possibly a Pioneer) for £5000 in total. I feel gutted! I really need some money!!
Anybody else spotted any Alders bargains, they seem to be taking any offers for stuff at the moment.

Up to 75% off. And no comeback to the retailer, since they'll be gone for good by the end of the month.

Yes,but I think if I was looking for a plasma (or anything else come to that) I'd risk the manufacturers warranty for 75% off!Shame there's no Alders near me.

The Allders gear is nothing special that you couldnt beat mail order...

I was in there earlier, nothing new to report...

Allders list prices are high to start and theyre rule is 10% off electricals
and not 75%, sorry to disappoint you...

Steve_Nottm is spot on there, 75% off the granny clothes. 20% off some designer clothing and 10% if your lucky off plasmas. the 42" viera was still £3000 in Alders nottingham 2weeks ago when I popped in, not exactly many bargains in there. obviously though the closer they come to closing down the more off you might get but I very much doubt 75% off a £3000 TV will be seen.

Yes the prices are high, but my point is, this close to closing, they're accepting silly money for stuff, as said in my first post, the guy who bought 3 42" plasmas basically got the for less than £1700 each - and one was a 42" Viera.
The price on the 26" Viera was £1400, yet it sold for £200 (although, I think it had a damaged plug).

If they were knocking 75% off electrical gear, can you imagine the ruck
    that'd be going on inside..

You'd need to get a police riot squad moving in to quell the disturbance as
i'd be in there with some Amercian Football padding on to barge my way
through the grandma's to get to the bargain tellies...!!
