Everything is prohibited so press stop as it is loading then title search to 35.

Otherwise prepare for a long wait

We watched the R2 last night and the forced trailers are a pain but the sound was worse IMO... Very quiet and lacking dynamics, anyone else noticed this..?

I am convinced that this type of thing is adding to piracy. People (at least people I know!) are getting a bit p***ed off with forced trailers and those anit-piracy notices that also can't be skipped (and anything else that forces its way in before the menu!).

These companies are shooting themselves in their own feet with these things. Why put up with all this crap when a mate with a DVD burner can copy the disk and remove all this crap???? They (ie. the film companies) should really start giving a better product for what we are paying or they will continue to push people into seeking "alternative" versions.

(sorry, bit of a rant there, but those things really annoy me ) :lesson:

Surely the fact the R2 is cut (and dubbed in parts) would be enough to let you know there are better versions?

I have emailed Dreamworks - also I am going to do a DVD shrink version and see how that works.

Forced trailers do work I have bought one disc since they appeared on Disentry DVDs - Finding Nemo - they work by telling me NOT to buy them.

As I know someone with a pirate Sharks Tale I will probably borrow it and watch once rather than suffer forced rubbish on either rental or purchased.

There you go Dreamworks - I am not going to bother with your release if I cannot see the film.

    Martin,

calm down its only a DVD (sorry, best Micheal Winner voice), i know these things are annoying but so is 90% of the world we live in. Put the disc in and go and make some tea or open a beer. Added to which are you saying you watch your equipment "cold"? I put my HC on for at least an hour before i watch anything even the longest trailers in the world cant last long

oh and let me see Joan Rivers, legendary US comedian Vs that bird that presents Pop Idol - there is no competion - lets be honest.

I've seen both versions and i have to say the US is better.

Rivers - thats it - to be honest that very short sequence didn't really effect the film - both females are irritating!

As to sound - warming up seems to make little difference - however I had left the amp on since watching another film earlier in the day.

So what are the differences between the various region versions?
Somebody said that that pr*t Ross is in it? Is this true? And what does he bring to the party?
    Cuts & dubs?

Can we have the definitive statement please on which is THE version to buy, as I'm under pressure (2 daughters) to buy it ASAP.

The UK release has Jonathan Ross and Kate Thorton re-dubbing some of the characters and the headbutt has been changed to a neckchop.
If you want the unaltered 2 Disc Edition then either get the Region 3 release if you want NTSC or the Region 4 release if you want PAL.
