showing the date

    i have a sony dcr pc101e
    and i can not find in the menu system how to show the date and time on the recordings

    i have also read the manual over and over again

    can anyone help

    I've got a PC100E - similar, but older.
    Anyway you need to use one of the buttons on the supplied remote control....
    Try that - I'm assuming the 101 comes with a remote.....

    Don't know anything about your camera, but if you want the time and date automatically added when editing have a look at :-

    Failing that add the date manually as a subtitle when editing, at least that way you can remove it again when you want to. if you record it when you film it's there permanent and you can never get rid of it.

    As far as I can see the only time you would want it permanently on the video would be for a security or legal dispute.
