Should I spend more money to get to 4k? Benq th585 vs Optoma Uhd 35

Novice Member
As the title says, should I try to squeeze out more money for a "cheap" 4k option instead of going for the simple fhd route (th585). In my country epsons and benqs are quite expensive, the th585 is about $800 and th685 is $900. I found a sale on optoma uhd35 for $1000 and I think i should get it. Is the difference going from 1080p to 4k that noticeable? Maybe at black friday I could find a benq for $700, still quite expensive.

I will use the projector for all kinda of stuff, some gaming but I really want a decent movie experience. Help me out I never owned a projector, thanks.

Hi. That depends on the size of your image, and how far you sit from it.

There are more important factors than resolution, such as motion and contrast. Let us know some more details, and people will be able to advise you better:
Is this for a living room (or similar) or dedicated cinema room? Are the walls a light colour, or dark? Screen size and seating distance? Also, what country are you in?
