Should I really be looking at upgrading my speakers?

I've just bought a Pioneer 920 amp to upgrade my 10 year old Yamaha 595a. I've been running Acoustic Energy Aegis Two speakers, + centre and small MS bookshelf speakers for the backs.

You can get my speakers for dirt cheap off Ebay now, but I'm wondering have there really been that many advances in speakers in 10 years to warrant upgrading these? I know they are cheap now but cheap now doesn't mean they aren't any good?

I guess I'm just looking for more peace of mind than anything.

Quick answer (and IMO) - No. If you are happy with them, stick with them.

i went from mordaunt short alumni to ae evos and i thought it was a big step up so my answer would be no keep what you have got if you like them
