Should I have pricematched?!

Hey.
Hopefully someone can help with my dilemma.
Last night I ordered the Samsung B550 from Aj Electronics for £565 as this was the cheapest I could find.
I then noticed John Lewis also sell this set and found out that Aj Electronics has a store in London. Should I have gotten John Lewis to price match the store in London and then I could pick up the TV from a John Lewis here in Glasgow? Its just 5 years John Lewis warranty is a whole lot better than 1 years manufacturers warranty.

I would just cancel the order from Aj electronics and PM john lewis but Aj electronics charge a 15% admin fee which would be £85 in this case and that isnt an option.

I know regret is the last thing I should be feeling after i have just ordered myself a TV but at the moment I am just wondering if there is a way round the admin fee or something.

Cheers for any advice.

Dont quote me as absolute but i think JL will only price match with stores in the same area, apparently they changed the rules where they used to match from any store.

So would have I have been able to say got a John Lewis in the same area as the Aj electrics showroom to price match AJ and then I would pick up the tv from a different store in Glasgow? or do John Lewis not allow that?

That's what l34052 was saying in his post. John Lewis won't agree to doing that. If you're price matching both stores have to be in the same local area I believe within 5 miles. What you're saying isn't possible.

Ahh I see, this is quite a relief to be honest - hate knowing I could have gotten a better deal.
Thanks for explaining that

For John Lewis Glasgow, I think the best is Robert Whyte.

Often the John Lewis Glasgow instore prices are already price matched against Robert Whyte, so you can just walk inand pick one up.
