I am due to move house next week and I need your advice on the following:

I currently have sky with the Family Pack option (£18.50p/m)

I want a second Sky Digibox for the new house which already has a minidish.

Contacted Sky today and a second Digibox will cost me £99.99 and the installation is £50.

Can I cancel my current subscription and get my wife to start a new subscription with the £1 deal.>????

    Any help will be appreciated.

    GJC.

Yes, thats what I did when I moved house last year.

You'll still have to pay your months subscription whilst you give them notice but it'll work out far cheaper for you.

    LDR,

    THanks.

I plan on using the current box in the Lounge, and I will ask for the new digibox to be installed in the main bedroom. Will the old box still work downstairs?

Do I need to tell Sky I have an old digibox that I want to have as a second system when 'the wife' notifies them of the new install?

Basically How do I go about having the £1 install whilst being able to utilise the second box.

    Cheers again!

Hi guys, I'm about to move house and was wondering the same thing - will the new subscription need to be in someone elses name, or will I just be able to start a new subscription in my name and take the £1 offer?

    Thanks for any help!

I think the discount offer applies to new households as your moving you should be accepted for it. However, to make sure I would get the contract signed by a different person from the original.

You will have to pay the full whack channel subscription £38 for the first month - if you want all the extra channels keep it, otherwise change it to the Family Pack (£18.50) p/m (after the first month).
