    Hi, guys

    I have a set of the following equipment:
    Sources: Arcam Alpha 9 CD, Nakamichi DVD-10S player
    Amplification:
    Arcam Alpha AV50 amp, Arcam Alpha 9P power amp
    Speakers:
    Missions 782, Mission 78C, KEF (do not remember) satellites
    no sub

    I have suddenly been blessed to spend around £400-500 for Christmas on an upgrade.

    Given the recent introduction of the AVR 250 the prices for AVR 200 have fallen dramatically.
    Will replacing the AV 50 with it be worthwile?
    Or will I be better of buying a sub or new satellites?

    Your advice will be highly appreciated

    Thanks a lot!

    If you're happy with the sound at the moment you'd probably best off buying a sub for £500.

    The difference will be very apparant and you'll wonder why you hadn't bought one before.

    Look at the two current favourites on the forums, SVS and Velodyne. You can buy a really good one for that kind of money.

    @General Skanky

    Thanks for your advise m8. Managed to buy the Mission 78as sub for £270 from hyperfi.co.uk - looks like a good deal to go with the rest of the Missions!
