Should I buy Samsung LED UE32C4000 or LCD LE32C530?

I'm planning on buying a new 32 inch tv for the bedroom as ours is a 19 year old - yes! panasonic and its coming to the end of its life (at last)
The LCD is available for around £300 and the LED for £350. The only main difference seems to be that the LCD is 1080 (HD ready) and the LED is only 720 but the guy in the shop mentioned that the LED backlight gives a great picture so wondering which to go for? help!!
