Should I buy a 1GB HD 5870 or wait for 2GB?

I use a 17" monitor ( 22" in the near future), my PC:
G.Skill 2x 2GB DDR3 2000Mhz
Intel Core i5 750
Cooler Master HAF 932
Radeon 5870 (???) GB
Corsair 750W (CMPSU-750TXEU)
WD Caviar Black WD5001AALS (2x500GB, 32MB)

Is 1GB enough for future games?

I've been reading that if you generally game at > 1920/1080 , and if you're using heavy anti-aliasing etc you could possibly do with the 2GB.

I'm guessing the 22" monitor will be 1GB would be fine.

How desperate are you to buy a new card?
What is the ETA for the 2gig?
What's the FPS / price ratio (going to be)? Would this prediction be worth it?

lol, for all I know i'm talking nonsense...Toms hardware has an article on the front page looking at VGA ram. Take a looky
I'm personally going for a 5870/50 in a couple of weeks. Need to do some thinking about going AMD or i7/i5.....will be posting about that puppy nearer the time!

Hope i've helped a little.

1GB for that setup will be fine, if you wait for 2gb this could be a while and will cost the Premium.. and by then you could or may have the Gt300 out ..

to take Full advantage even with a 1gb card you need tobe running at least 1920X1080 ..

So your saying a 2gb is best for a 22inch?

no 1gb is more than enough for 22" monitor. a 5850 will kill everything @ 1680x1050 on a 22" monitor
