The other evening I had the Xbox 360 on and for some reason had the sound off on the tv and I noticed that the power brick was making noise like when the fan gets dirty on your PC it makes a slight whine .. Should I be worried , i still have a couple of months left on the XBOX 360 so I can always swop it , any advice ?

    Is the brick well ventilated?

Do you turn your 360 off at the mains when your not playing it?

If its under warranty just take it back etc.

mine has been plugged into the mains for over a year and the power brick doesn't make any noise at all, the 360 does, but thats another story.

Warranty it while you still can, or if you are in the uk use your statutory rights to claim a replacement outside of the manufacturers warranty (check on google for uk consumer laws, goods are covered for their reasonable life under your statutory rights not just the one year the manufacturers warranty, it may get messy as many stores will deny you that right as they are not up to speed on consumer law, but it is your right)

Hmm if your really concerned you could tamper with the 360 so it does break and then take it back but as long as its working ok and your warranty is fairly long id just wait and see how things pan out.
