Lots of GRAW threads, and it look slike the game is going to be around for quite some time, so just wondering if the strength of feeling exists to give it its own forum?

    Simple Yes/No poll.

No becuase every other month there will be a must have title and in the end there will be so many sub forums it will get difficult to navigate.

I think it would be better to close the duplicated/ pointless threads which annoy the community, or the ones whereby members have blatantly not read the forum rules. There maybe a lot of graw posts, but i feel that when little jonny receives his order from play on either thursday or friday of hardly the highest order of importance.

The reason I think it would be a good idea would be down to the number of Forum clans that are forming, they will keep it going for quite a while in itself. And if thing die down, and GRAW is no longer the topic of the moment, or the dedicated forum has slowed to a crawl, delete it and merge the posts back in to the main gaming forum, where hopefully they would have dissappeared to around page 200 :D

Oh im not having a go - I have even posted an ironic thread about postage which is really a sly dig at the standard of pointless postings. But I think it would be better in the long run to be more pro active so that the postings are of a higher standard, rather than putting them into one sticky.

I just think there are alot of good games coming, that would mean alot of stickys! I just dread halo 3 day.....

    I vote no.

Surely we could have a couple or three "sticky" threads for it, say one for hints n tips, one for reviews and one for general stuff.

Once the next big thing arrives, just un-sticky the threads and they'll sink down the listing and disappear. A lot less trouble for the mods than all that moving/merging threads palavar.

Doesn't need its own thread just plenty of people wanting to eschew its virtues thinking their information is better than anything that has gone before.
Will happen every time a new game comes out so its really a case of put up and shut up or have a mod compiling the threads every few hours which is a tiresome chore.

Or perhaps the moderators just giving band out or warnings? This would make people think.

Mind you the standard of my postings, i would be spending alot of time on the sidelines. :D

I'd be all for this actually - at least people would know where to post. When Halo 3 is announced create another sub-forum for that too - nip it in the bud before it starts :smashin: Wouldn't be against this for any major game, although whoever administers the site (Stuart?) may not share the same view. ;)

Cant we have a sort of emergency forum where "game of the month" threads go and the forum name can change each time a game starts to take over to relect.

Personally, I don't want any more stickies... they take up enough space already, space that would be better utilised for displaying the rest of the threads... Maybe a separate stickies forum then? :)

Hmm still think we should be more proactive rather than reactive.

And who really knows which games will cause the biggest debates?

That will come when the PS3 is imminent and everyone is posting "who's gonna sell their 360 and get a PS3" etc... :suicide:

I'm also in the no camp.

TBH there is no point in all the GR:AW threads. This Forum is not meant to be used a chat room as most of the threads seem to be.

If someone has a problem with it than fair enough but with the GRAW noobtube, GRAW tips, are you a GRAW lefty plus the many others than it verges on the brink of mediocrity.

I think we all need to curb our enthusiam for pressing the 'New Topic' button and post in the most relevant topic for discussion. That way the Forums are far less messy and can be moderated effectively.

no for me because this is not going to happen in a million years.

as you may know this is a hugely popular forum, doing searches in google will often give avforums as the top result.

Stuart will not give a game its own forum unless they sponsor the site. its just like giving sony there own forum.

this is what i am led to believe but of course i may be wrong.

I dont think we should be pandering to the buffoons that keep creating all the threads, I say we just have one game discussion thread, then move anything else about the online aspect to the live folder. Anything else is pointless and can just get merged or deleted into the one thread.

The chat is so diluted and fragmented its ruining any hope for decent discussion on the gameplay.

In an ideal world that is the way it would work and I'd be perfectly happy with that... but most people never search and can't even be bothered to look down the first page to see if there has already been something similar posted...

Mods will have their work cut out merging all the GRAW threads ;)

I think it could be a good idea to have a sub forum set up for a major release. It would certainly keep things tidier. It could be merged when and if new threads/posts calm down.

Didn't we have a spell before the 360 was released with about 8 sub forums for different games. PGR, PDZ, COD, etc all had there own sub forum. Well at least i think they did. Or have i been dreaming again.....

a cull once a day should do it.

To be fair they would have the same job moving all the threads to the sub folder that people would no doubt fail to notice also. If they cant see fifteen topics on GRAW just below theirs then I doubt they wouild notice a sub forum ;)

The 'flavour of the month' forum sounds like a good idea, I'd be up for that, would help clear a lot of unneccersary threads out. but what happens if we get two great releases close together, we've had GRAW and FN3, and soon Elder Scrolls will be joining the party.

A GRAW sub forum would work in my opinion. Mainly due to the amount of activity there will most likely be with regard to clans and forum members trying to organise gaming sessions, could all be done in that thread.

This has already been discussed within another thread, ironically, this really is just another GRAW thread.

Next we'll have a few threads "stop these GRAW threads:mad: "

I would say no as well. Played this round at my mates the other night. Dont see what all the fuss is about really. Suppose it will happen, especially as some people seem starved of quality titles on the 360. I remember when halo2 came out loads of people i work with rushed out and bought it (like me) and was seriously underwhelmed once id played it.
GRAW is a good game, but played far better!

i think its better for each game to have its own section even if its only a temporary thing for new releases till all the enthusiasm has died down a little

We can't set up sub forums for every game - all it needs is one dedicated thread (aside from any competition threads) where people can discuss the game - there is just simply no need to create a new thread to ask a question when there are already threads regarding that specific game.
