    I think he does.
Not normally into these things but I think Danny Boyle has done an absolutely brilliant job and I take my hat if to him and everyone else involved.

Have you ever been the mastermind behind the opening ceremony of the Olympics?

I also do a good job at what I do but I don't deserve a Knighthood.

And neither does he, as I said it's a job. And after watching that he's no closer to getting one.

I'm sure that given £28m to waste, most of us could come up with something :D

I do a good job every day, I'm sure you do a good job every day but if your spec for the following months was to be responsible for the opening ceremony of the Olympics and you need to deliver, could you come up with something as good as that?

    I couldn't.

I could have simply put *insert current party in power here*. They're all equally corrupt trough feeding piggies.

If he ever gets one, it shouldn't be just for this, but his real contribution to the film industry. His films are imaginative, original and memorable. He is also a truly charismatic Brit, well done Dan the Man.

Yes. I thought he did a great job. The ceremony was genuinely impressive in many parts.

I've voted Yes. He put on a great show piece for the UK (as well as the influence his films have had), but would he accept it?

He does a lot for charity. There is an understanding that celebs doing that kind of work don't gon on about it since it is about the charity not them.

    No, I don't think so.

Don't get me wrong he did a fan-****ing-tastic job. But I don't think him should get a knighthood for it though.

    +1,

Enjoyed the ceremony but not sure if it's Knighthood worthy, a CBE perhaps but not Sir Danny Boyle (yet)

He deserves one in my opinion, though it would be an unusually short circuit.

Consider your opinion of him had he messed this up. Only the whole world was watching, and pretty much every influential person within our nation. And he had to follow the epic memory of Beijing. That is quite a career risk to shoulder.

Well done him, I think it hit the mark. That seems a little underwhelming acknowledgement. Give him it :)

i dont agree with titles being doled out so no ,but then again he does deserve some kind of accolade as top all those who took part because they gave their time for nothing.
I believe the honours system as it stands should be scrapped and all tittles thereof be declared null and void,We should join the 21st century and introduce and Order of Merit system as is the case in many countries

I absolutely loved what was presented last night, it was superb. But a knighthood, nah. Just because others get it for whatever reason doesn't mean that should be extended, it should be curtailed and for just absolute exceptional deeds.
