Well my old faithful AE100 has popped another bulb.
Considering its age and useage (5500 hours) I hardly think it's worth getting another bulb.
What should my shortlist be for sub £1500 projectors?
Currently I will be looking at:
Panny AE900
Sanyo Z4
Optoma H72
Sony HS50
Any others worth considering?
I do suffer from rainbows but the H72 I saw at Manchester was virtually absent (low enough that I could live with).
One of the biggest complaints I had about the AE100 was the dust blobs on that I never managed to clear properly. Do any of these machines possess sealed optics that would eliminate this problem? The other issue was warped panesl that caused a yellow stain on the image. Would DLP be better in this respect than LCD or do newer LCD models not suffer this problem.
Thanks in advance.
