Anyone know where I can get an IEC plug for my amp that doesn't stick out as far as the standard jobbies they sell you with the 'sprongy' bit on it (to prevent sharp bends out of the plug)?

I'm looking for something where the cable can turn closer to the back panel of the amp than the standard lead. WOuldn't mind taking the opportunity to make up a decent cable while I'm at it.

There use to be a chappie on ebay who sold bundles of metal screened mains cable with 90 degree IEC plugs - unterminated at the other. I think i paid £13 incl p&p for my bundle of 5x2m cables. The seller 405man.

Which did you go for in the end? I'd be interested in how you get on with these cables, if they're half as successful as the cat5 stuff I'd like to give them a go, any chance of a short write up?
