I have found problems with burning short 2-3min films onto DVD-RW and then trying to play the finalised RW in a DVD player.

If I clone the RW onto a R disc in a PC drive, it produces a fully playable disc.
However, it appears to write to a larger area on the R disc and apparently this is to do with a 'minimum' requirement to make the disc readable.

If I pad out the footage with black after the film, is there a known amount of data that makes a RW meet this criteria and therefore 'more playable', or I am stuck using R discs and throwing them away afterwards ?
