I have bought a new Philips LCD today and they have supplied a mains cable no longer than 1m! At the end that plugs into the LCD it has a sort of two prong plug (sorry for my ignorance) it looks a bit like a smaller version of a kettle lead.
My questionis what is the name of this connection and where can I buy a longer one from?
Your help would be greatly received.

Most probably a figure 8 mains lead. Try Mark Grant in the power buy section of this forum. You can also get adapters from www.maplins.co.uk to adapt 'kettle' type to figure eight.
This is all guess work of course....:)
