Shockwafe 7.2.4 Pause, skip, rewind, repeat. Bad behavior.

I was excited to get my new Nakamichi Shockwafe 7.2.4 yesterday.

I'm pretty handy so getting it setup, even the CEC, was not so bad. (Not trivial, but certainly doable). I still need to tune the sound. I've read a lot about how to maximize that part of the experience.

The question is whether I should bother.

I use TiVo to watch TV and get most of my content from Apple TV.

What I've noticed is that when I skip forward or backward or pause, etc. the sound takes seconds to catch up. Not occasionally. Every time!

I replaced a Yamaha YSP-4300 which I absolutely loved (that died way too early). The Yamaha did not do Atmos, but did do most everything else and it never had such issue so I know it is not endemic to DSPs. The weird thing is that I've not seen this particular issue mentioned in any reviews or comments. I thought maybe it was just my unit.

I called up the Ninjas. He said it is expected behavior. He also claimed ALL Atmos systems would behave the same. Can anyone here confirm this behavior on their Atmos system. I'm terribly disappointed. At this point I'm thinking I've got to box it up and send it back. :/
