    Hi,
I am thinking of making a nice sub or two, and would really like to incorperate a nice magnetically shielded driver.
I like the idea of a sub to be shielded as it allows further freedom of placement.

Ideally I would be wanting something in the range of £50-£150 and between 8" and 12",
although if you know of good others outside this range please post here as well, as it would probably be of help to any others looking for similar items in the future.

During my searches I haven't found that many which mention shielding, it's a common feature in commercial designs, but less common it seems in DIY.

    I hope you can help,
    Cheers,

    Paul.

I've yet to come across a shielded subwoofer driver, there are plenty of shielded other drivers about though.

Where were you thinking of putting your sub when it's made?

    Hi,
I currently use 2 magnetically shielded subs and in my arrangement one of them sits next to my computer (which I don't think would like to be magnetised).

It's a bit of a bummer that there don't seem to be many or any good shielded bass drivers.

    Still hoping, :)

    Paul.

Try asking over at .DIYAudio , they're a pretty friendly and helpful bunch.
