    my little ones have told me that
    shawshamk redemption is on sale
    at Poundstretchers for £2.99

    i havnt been there so cant confirm.

    i do know though that woolies
    are selling it at £3.99 at the mo also
    as my neighbour bought it yesterday.

    great film , that should be in all collections.

    and I've just seen it on woolies website for £2.49.

    Some guys are going into town at lunchtime. they'll look to see if it an instore price too

    If it's the Region 2 re-release, then it's still got the awful picture and stereo sound from the previous release. Also from memory, I don't think it's a true flipper, but rather 16:9 on side 1, 4:3 on side 2

    Instore price is £3.99, which is the same as the online store if you add p+p. Damn good price for a great film.

    but I order several discs and a stack of CDs so it only worked at 10p a disc for carriage:clap:

    shawshank picture R2 quality aint that bad, maybe on a seven foot screen but on a 28" telly it looks fine

    Try turning up the brightness in the opening scenes, where Andy is outside his wife's lover's house. It looks like someone is waving a pair of tights in front of the screen :D

    Your right - I love this film and had the r2. I now have the r1 with 5.1 and a far superior transfer - the difference is astounding.
