These are down to £360 odd from pc world business. I still remember it from the Bristol show in 2005, and priced at £2k.

However on reading the Home Cinema choice review, it says, "the DVI input can't display a true 1080i image, but downscales it to 540p"

I wondered whether now with my Tosh E1 hd-dvd player, it might downscale to 720p? In which case it's a great stepping stone projector until 1080p pj prices fall even further. Or will it still downscale to 540p.

    :eek:that is cheap!
Currently thinking of going for the Optoma HD70 but the z2000 seems a bargain.

Be careful, just checked it out and I think there's a mistake on the site, it looks to be just the Lamp! Check out the code, it also says Sharp projector options in bold. http://www.pcwb.com/catalogue/item/LAMP1096
If you order one and it turns out to be a projector please let me know.

Hi Chaps. Does anyone have their Z2000 connected to a PS3/360? If so, could you please post your views/pics etc. At £360 this sounds, or should I say looks a bargain.
    Thanks in advance.

Microwarehouse are now showing this at the same price, but curiously their reference number is for a bulb,as well. A phone call in the morning should sort it out!

I emailed PCworld late on Friday.
I bet they don't reply and change their website.

The advert/link from PC World is most misleading. Why did it include a picture and the specs of the projector?

I tried to buy a projector from them a few months back, it was an in72 at just over £200 and as others had sold them for a similar price i though it was just a sell off. When it came it was just a bulb, so i refused delivery. Was a bit of a pain getting the money back, but i did in the end.

With both microwarehouse and pcwb (same thing) make sure the item is what your after (best ring if in doubt), as in my case the item was fully described and had a picture but after closer inspection the item code was for a bulb. And as business sellers they don't abide by the 7/14 cooling off for distance selling and have a raft of other conditions so be careful!
