Hi there,

Because they changed the standard from dvbt to dvbt2 here in Poland, we are forced to buy new decoders.
I bought the more expensive ones where you can program the buttons of the remote, so you dont have to have two seperate remotes, just one for the decoder which just learns from the TV remote by putting them front to front....
I also bought one for my uncle, but i ran in to a problem there... I noticed his remote doesn't have a IR diode, after a while i realized that its some kind of RF system.
So i am wondering, does this tv have an IR receiver in it?

The model: Sharp LC-40CFE6452E

A quick Google and read of the user manual tells you it uses RF and not IR for remote control operation, so, no, it doesn’t have an IR receiver in it.
