I am torn between the 3 modles I am sure you all know which I am talking about
Panny 52 Sharp P50 And the Samsung 40b

I am sure I will have HD at some point next year but how soon I dont know. But as you know the samsung can be got at a good price. And the panny and Sharp in the same bracket at most place. I am quite tempted for the Panny as read quite a bit of good reveiws on it.

Wish I could start a poll so you all can vote for me. I have seen all 3 modles and it still did not make it any easy for me to decided
    Cheers

Are you not forgetting something? Screen size should be relative to viewing distance. If you set 6 ft away a 40inch screen (Samsung) will be too big. If your 8-10ft away a 32 inch screen will be too small (Panasonic).

Surely that should be the deciding factor?

Well, some people are saying that anything under 32" doesn't do HD justice anyway, but if you want to get all the theoretical resolution from HD next year, you have to discount the Sharp as it doesn't have enough pixels.

I've been umming and ahhing over the Panny LXD52 and Samsung R41BD (I assume this is the one you meant) myself, albeit the 32" versions. I don't think there's much in it PQ wise, but the Panny does slightly better viewed off centre for me and it has slightly better connectivity (2x RGB scarts).

Also, do you want freeview? The R41B Samsung doesn't have it, but the more expensive R41BD does.

So given those 3, my order would be:
    Panny LXD52
    Sammy R41BD
    Sharp P50E
