I'm thinking of buying a Sharp LCD LC-20S1E,
    http://www.sharp.de/php/p.php?par=18_no_no_770
but I can't buy it in Denmark.

Does anyone know of any online reviews or has
    personal experience of this one.

At 1.150 Euro would you say it's a sound choice.
    http://www.hardware-guide.de/jsp/eVendi/product.jsp?p=46014

Bang & Olufsen just released a 22" LCD. I checked it
in the store yesterday, and it seems quite capable.
    - but as far as I know it'll be aprox. 4.700 Euro!

    http://www.bang-olufsen.com/sw11785.asp and
    http://www.bang-olufsen.com/sw11981.asp

Anyway, I've been told that it's build around a
Samsung screen - so maybe Samsung could be a choice?

The Bang and Olufsen screen is manufactured by Sharp not samsung!

Sharp only make screens for them selves and B & O.

So if its value for money you're after then go for the sharp!!

    It's a nice screen!!

I think you are, I take it you are in the industry too then. (take it your not King Street)
B&O LCD is a Samsung panel but it dont look like any Samsung in terms of PQ. Sharp still has an edge but not by much anymore!!!

Yeah only just in the industry, like 3 weeks!! Just trying to find my way at the moment, learnt an awful lot already though!! My manager used to work for B and O in manchester!!

i know what you mean about the pic quality though, i had no doubts of the B & O having anything other than a fantastic picture.

We've got a 37" Sharp lcd set up at the moment and i have to say that i'm very impressed with it, heard a lot of bad things about lcd but i reckon there gonna get better than plasma's in the next few years

    What do you reckon??

Been saying that for 12 months mate plasma is a stop gap.
PS you should edit your sig to stay inside rules, you are no longer classed as impartial mate! Where do you work?

I fear the backlash if i mention where i work!! There are a lot of strong opinions on here i wouldn't like to upset someone!! :D

I actually work in the new Harvey Nichols in Manchester ( and before anyone says anything we definately ain't a posh comet!)

The company i work for just rent the space from harvey Nichols, we're a concession!

But the guys i work with know their stuff and we ain't affiliated to any brand which is good!

It's quite a nice environment to work in as well, just wish they'd have advertised a bit more

Do you work in the AV department??? Or just in harvy nics, been to the one in leeds, it was tiny and crap!!
I guess as its not an AV retailer then you wouldnt have to edit your sig!
PS we were the first store in the country to get the 37" Sharp! Pity the MD didnt use it to any advantage.

Ole: Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that Sharp in Denmark finally imports LCD. However I suspect there's a considerable price difference.

Last year I bought a Sharp LL-T1512W for the PC - It made my old Sony look so dull. Anyway, I contacted Sharp in Denmark, but they couldn't even get it to the country for the price I paid in Germany. So what I wanted with a Danish store was primarily to see the little buggar. Should have said that. Sorry.

hornydragon and mr_fantazmo: You seem to know B&O well, so can you give me a hint of how the TV PQ of the Sharp compares to the Beovision 6 or the B&O MX4200 / Tube TV generally.

    Regards

MX4200 knocks spots off alll LCD's. beovision 6 is very nice but a lot of money, PQ equalls Sharp, styling much nicer!! (Of course it would be) do you have any other B&O kit? IF not better off taking a trip to germany Xmas shopping having a look at one and deciding. Or get a flight to the UK, we have all 3 you mention on display MX42000 21" 4:3 CRT, Beovision 6 22" 16:9 LCD, Sharp LC22SV2E 16:9 LCD, As well as 26" JVC 16:9 LCD, SharpLC20E1E/B4E and soon S1E and loads more mate. Also 20S1E is 4:3, and 4:3 LCD are much cheaper than 16:9 at the moment.
