Well I'm not sure if I was the only one who was totally gobsmacked by the Sharp LC45GD1E at the show.

The only LCD panel I know of that can handle a 1080i picture within it's native res and boy the difference apparent. I saw it running DVD, 720p upscaled, and 1080i and was thoroughly impressed with it in every regard.

My only wish was that I had the chance to see some fast moving images through it to see how it coped, but certainly on the material that was shown, colour, contrast and detail was superb, black levels were very good and it seemed like an excellent screen in every regard.

I think I may have found my new TV, though I have no idea how I'm going to pay for it yet.

Anybody else got an opinion on what they saw?
