hi
Sharp LC42XD1E - 42" Widescreen Full HD 1080P LCD TV (the older model not EA newer version), over a year old, maybe nearly 2
standard usage, 4-5 hours a day

images on on their side for some reason sorry, rotate them 90deg clockwise
but you should see the effect, the scene in the movie was fog and was an even colour, no black lines
that is the weird effect on screen - more visible on some scenes than others
get it whether tv is on ps3/360/freeview box or normal tv, and through hdmi/scart/aerial etc
only appeared recently
ive an 8 month old so ive had to move the ps3 and 360 and stand them behind the tv, and the surround central speaker is at the back too
i'm 99% sure this had started BEFORE i moved the equipment though
any ideas what is causing the effect
only happens when a plain colour displayed, but the effect spreads in dark bands from right to left, some nearly 75% of the screen
if theres a detailed scene then the effect is hidden but is there still
should also mention it suffers from screen burn too - when a particularly bright or static image is onscreen a while - a purple/green outline of it can be seen for an hour or more afterwards too
didnt think screen burn and lcd tv's was a problem ?
time for a new TVright ????
any help / ideas etc appreciated
