SHARP LC42XD1E New model?

Hello Everone,

Sorry if this has already been coverd,but im looking to buy a 1080p Lcd and am intrested in the New Samsung LE40M87.
I was in currys today and the have a new model of the Sharp LC42XDIE 42", when i enquired about it i was told it has just been released with a software update as the older model had a few problems, apart from that there is a chage to the look of the display" looks a bit like the Samsung R87 Series" but i cant seem to find any info on it...any help is much appreacheted.

Who were you speaking to in Currys, the cleaner.

There are no new Sharps due for a while yet. The LC42XD1E has been available since just before Xmas.

I will get a part number next time im in,but i never seen this sharp display before, but it had a 1080p spec and was £1299.99, as i say i was told they had just recived it in as an update to the LC42XDIE....if anyone lives near Crawley" surrey" they can see iti in the Currys Super store.

Are you sure it's not the new HD1E as that is due out soon? Search for the thread for details. I did understand that they would ony be 46 and 52" to start with though...

HD1E will be out after summer but XL1E will be out soon (maybe in 2 moths)... The difference between XDIE and XL1E will be only 100Hz.

I will try and find out, it was situated right next to the XDIE and was 42" Looked nice as well. i cant find a pic on the net,do you have a link to a picture then i could check.

Nope, it had a round base stand and a slight curve at the bottom not Horizontal ,l will go in tommrow and get the part number.

I would take a pic and upload it but to be honest i dont know how!

yep thats the puppy LC37RD2E but as a say it was 42".

Really! well i was only going on the Currys information card so i guess there information is incorect, as i say i never even heard of this display untill today.

well it looks like the samsung panel then.
