Can someone please clarify what resolutions this screen can handle in PC mode over VGA.

    Can it do 1:1 mapped 1280 x 768 or 1366 x 768.

The German manual only mentions 1080 x 768 - HAVE SHARP GONE MENTAL !!!!!.

Someone said in another thread there's no 'dot for dot' on the menu anymore too. I'm gonna phone up tomorrow and try and find out, cos I sent an e-mail on Monday asking and I've had nothing back yet.

OK chaps I got an email back today. Good news all round.

    Hi
    Thank you for your e-mail,

The LC37GD7E will display all PC resolutions up to 1360x768. This model will also display 1366 x 768 using some graphics cards.

The LC37GD7E will perform "dot for dot" reproduction.

The LC37GD7E will be released in the next couple of weeks, you should be able to view this model on the high street, early October.

    I hope this helps you

Sorry it might sound funny but I'm new to this forum and also LCD's.... I guess i just couldn’t keep my redundancy money in the bank ! LOL

I have just recently purchased a Sharp GD7, what a quality LCD it is, great design with great picture via DVD (scart) but I am not convinced through my SKY set top box. I am using a quality scart lead but seem to get a varied picture on different channels, i'm not sure if I've set this up right or is it just my Sky signal......

Does anyone have some settings I could maybe try out?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what the best set up is ?

Can you connect your Sky STB via the HDMI connection?

    Help !

    Thanks

    That is great news.

I wonder why the German manual only mentions 1080 x 768, very strange.

Can anyone tell me if the GD7 has a backlight adjustment.

I had a look at one today in Comet and could see no sign of one in the menus or the manual.

I just dont get Sharps logic, surely a panel costing this much should be rammed with every feature known to man !!.

    Gurd or anyother GD7 owners,

Which GD7 model do you have the 26, 32 or 37?

How far away from the screen do you need to be before the picture is acceptable when watching sky/freeview/analogue?

    thks
