Hi everyone,

I am new here and looking to get a large tv.

Interested in those Sharp tvs.

Here are some info on them:

152cm (60”) home entertainment

The AQUOS LC-60LE840 uses the very latest Sharp image technology to bring you the best possible viewing experience in both 2D and 3D. The picture, with its natural colours, really comes alive and is rich in contrast and breathtaking depth.

The LC-60LE840E comes with plenty of media player capabilities like AQUOS NET+ and YouTube. The media function, wireless LAN and Timeshift+ (you pause the current program and record it for later viewing) lets you watch TV in a completely new way. And what’s more, the A+ energy consumption of the LE840 is one of the lowest in its class.

Some details about the LC-60LE840E

The AQUOS LE841 series uses the very latest Sharp Quattron image technology to give you the best possible viewing experience, no matter what you’re watching – 2D or 3D.
The picture, with its natural colours, really comes alive and is rich in contrast and breathtaking depth. The AQUOS LE841 also features low energy consumption and has been awarded the A+ energy rating label.

The details are from Sharp UK, where they have details on both LE840 (Full LED backlight) and the LE841(Edge LED backlight)

Now if you google those tvs, LE841 comes up all over the place but I could not find anything in UK about the LE840 which supposed to have full LED backlight. Google finds it in France and other countries in Europe.

Does it mean that we will not get the LE840 here in UK?

Anyway, I am happy to get any info on those tvs guys.
Appreciate anything you have.

Thank you,

I think, there isnt any 60" FULL LED model from Sharp this year. The only UK model will be the 841. So the info on their site seems to be wrong.
Thank you Pluto.

The LC-60LE841E is not in the shops yet as far as I know. I mean it should be since end of May. I''ll be checking it out as soon as they release them.
Yeah, just received a message from Mark Hodginson and they will try to get one large 2012 model for a review, so maybe we will get smarter if Sharps are worth a try..
