I currently have a 26" Thomson LCD TV (about 3 years old) and I'm seriously considering upgrading to a 37" 1080p LCD within the next few months.

From looking through the forums I've boiled it down to either the Sharp LC-37X20E and the Toshiba 37Z3030D.

At the moment I can get the Sharp for £720 online, as opposed to £888 for the Toshiba. The prices will hopefully drop a little more in the next month or so before I make my final decision, but the problem is MAKING my decision.

While in Currys Digital on Oxford Street at the weekend, I got to see the 42" bigger brother of the Sharp 37", and Superman Returns HD looked STUNNING on it - plus it's a very good looking display.

I'll mainly be using the display in my bedroom for SD Digital TV, Upscaled SD DVDs with my Oppo player (DVI-HDMI), XBox 360 via Component/VGA, and Sony PlayStation 3/Blu-ray via HDMI. Sitting at about 10 feet from the screen.

    Any advice / tips / pro's / con's are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Im looking for a 37 inch also at the moment, went to Costco and they had the Tosh and also the Panni 37lzd70 side by side both playing transformers hd. Both looked really nice sets while watching the hd.
Just wondered if ppl knew which is the best set between the Sharp,Tosh and the Panni here??.
By the way Henry the Tosh was 820 at Costco with 3 years warrenty.
Id be using it for the ps3, bluerays films and sky sd.
Can you turn off the 100 mhz option with these tellys??.

Anyone seen these displays side-by-side to compare, or have been in the same boat?
