Sharp LC-26D4U: Black colors look horrible on component/hdmi HELP

Hello,

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-26D4U, and every time I use component or hdmi on my LCD, the black color look very weird, there is not transition in the color or like a blatant black color where there should be black. It still plays the video, but the quality is horrible with the black.

It looks fine with RCA though....

Also, I tried the dvd player on my Samsung LCDTV down stairs and it looks perfect. Also, the Samsung LCDTV gets HD channels automatically, like 3-CAT, and 3-HD, all from my basic cable connection.

My Sharp can't do it....How do I fix these problems...I know Sharp is better than Samsung, I just get these problems resolved...

Thank you.
