Info from US web site on Sharp GD6U range of LCD tv's.
HDMI, DVI, Integrate Freeview, PC card slot etc.
May be worth waiting for or will we not get them in the UK?

The GA6's are already here. They are called the Loewe Xelos 'A' series. Seriously.

Do the GA6's have the same picture processing as the Loewe's? Or are you saying the Loewe A series has no processing?

It is a fatal mistake trying to compare what the Yanks are getting and then assuming that we'll get the same.

Doesn't work like that i'm afraid...not just yet. Soon though...very soon maybe...

Some of the Loewe picture processing seems, according to people that I have asked, to be making its way into certain Sharp models - Sharp own 10% ish of Loewe and Loewe make and design some of the Sharp models. Apparently the GA5's benefit a little from this sharing of technology and there is evidence that some of the PCB's in the 'A' series Loewes are marked as Sharp LCxxGD4L, a range that have never been sold in the UK - search for a post from Vascovaz. However, whilst much of the hardware may be shared, I would expect the software to differ. The Loewe 'A' series user interface seems to be very much a progression of my Xelos SL but quite different from the GD1 Sharps that I have used. I can't see that Loewe will let Sharp have all their little gems for such a small holding.

Still have not been cut off yet...
