I have just received my XBOX HD AV Box. Games look amazing at 720p. I have a question though. When I enabled the HD outputs on the settings screen, there was an option for 1080i. Does the Sharp 26GA4E support 1080i through scaling or should I leave this option off? Just asking as I can't seem to find any info on it in the manual.

Yes, the screen will support 1080i input, but you're probably better off using 720p.

To do 720p the screen has to scale it up a fraction, but to do 1080i it has to de-interlace and downscale it too.

If you experiment you'll probably find that 720p does look better.

Thanks for the response. I just figured it out. Was mucking about with settings in XBMC and found an option for screen format. 720p looked a lot crisper than 1080i, so have left on that setting. Is it worth enabling 1080i in the XBOX settings or should I leave it disabled?
