Sharp have been reticent to launch anything in the way of home theatre projectors over here, but there's possible rumblings they might have a dabble with their newly announced xv-z30000 3D DLP Projector.

We don't know a lot at this stage but it looks to be in that, ever increasing, sub £3,000 price bracket and promises 1600 lumen output for its 1080p panel with a claimed 50,000:1 contrast ratio. There's two HDMI plus CI integration and LAN control also.

In the USA, the XV-Z30000 comes with two sets of 3D glasses, and will be available for $5,000 in March 2012. Of course, we'll try and badger them in to spilling the beans on a UK release. Looks pretty stylish anyhow
